As an ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner, Kaplan Learning Institute is recognised for the high quality of its ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) programmes. With thousands of students having prepared for the ACCA exams at Kaplan, the institute boasts a consistent track record of prize winners.
For MS Zhang Lanxi, who came in third in Singapore in P6 – Advanced Taxation, Kaplan was her preferred place to study right from the start.
“Kaplan has earned a strong reputation for its excellent ACCA lecturers, good study environment and tuition support for students,” the 25-year-old said. “Knowing that the right place to study was at Kaplan, all I needed to do was concentrate on the ACCA class lectures.”
Mr Desmond Wang, on the other hand was undecided about where to prepare for his exams until he attended an ACCA preview at Kaplan.
“I was very impressed by the warm learning environment and student facilities at Kaplan.” he said. “I felt confident that the lecturers would go the extra mile to help students succeed in their studies.”
His decision to enrol at Kaplan paid off, as Desmond, 26, came in first in Singapore for both F9 – Financial Management, and F6 – Taxation, as well as second in Singapore for F7 – Financial Reporting.
Both Ms Zhang and Mr Wan credit Kaplan’s lecturers for their outstanding performances at the ACCA exams, as well as Kaplan’s examination kits and lecture notes.
Said Ms Zhang: “I kept attempting past years’ papers and focused on the notes and study tips given by my ACCA lecturers at Kaplan. I asked them for help whenever I had any questions. I would advise other ACCA students to do the same, in order to fare well.”
Mr Wang agrees. “Even if students are shy, they should try to approach their Kaplan lecturers,” he said. “From my experience, they really have the students’ interest at heart. Their feedback is vital for students to identify their weaknesses and areas for improvement.”
He added that the lecturers who taught him were “industry professionals who often shared their real-life insights and subject knowledge”.
“That helped a lot in my personal growth, and often inspired me to think about how I could pursue an accounting career in the future,” he said.
With their ACCA qualifications in hand, Ms Zhang and Mr Wang are looking forward to improved career prospects. “I firmly believe that I can be a good senior accountant or auditor in Singapore in the near future,” said Ms Zhang.
Mr Wang, who is starting his internship with Ernst & Young next year, hopes to move into a managerial position in the next five years, and be able to make key decisions in his finance department.
He said: “I would like to become a well-respected leader who can bring out the best in each individual, and contribute to the success of the organisation that I am working for.”
