We couldn’t be more proud this evening to ink the tripartite collaboration between Kaplan, University of Essex and AccorHotels, at Swissotel The Stamford. The evening saw the launch of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Hotel Management (Top-up) that encompasses a 6-month real-world internship opportunity with AccorHotels, the world’s largest hotel group outside of the U.S.

Aligning with the Government’s Industry Transformation Roadmap by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, this collaboration aims to groom hospitality talents who will graduate career-ready to make an impact in this thriving industry.

We had the honour of having Mr Justinian Hebner, Deputy Director at Dept of Int’l Trade at the British High Commission grace the event; and had Mr Marcus Hanna, GM of Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford with Associate Professor Rhys Johnson of Kaplan Singapore share their journey of common mission to support the demands of the growing hospitality sector.

Guests including some of our hospitality students also gleaned insights from the fireside chat on possibilities of a successful career in hospitality & how innovation increasingly plays a vital role toward making guest experience a memorable one.
