The University College Dublin (UCD) programme was well-delivered and broadened my knowledge through a wide variety of learning activities. I gained rich educational experiences from the local and international lecturers’ sharing sessions.

On top of that, graduating as a top student at UCD was key to unlocking many incredible opportunities as well as fulfilling my personal and professional goals.

My current job scope includes supporting, leading and mentoring the team to achieve the efficient and smooth operation of properties. The programme enhanced my job performance by improving my knowledge in areas such as project management, data analysis and evaluation, and time management skills.

I have always aimed to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and when I was researching for a good university to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree, I came across Murdoch University that offers direct entry into the CPA Australia programme. Additionally, I managed to graduate with my Degree in 16 months due to exemptions obtained from my Diploma.

Being able to choose the modules and respective classes to take gave me a great deal of flexibility and allowed me to manage my time between work and school well, given that I worked full-time while studying part-time.

Upon attaining my Degree, I switched to a new job as a Tax Associate in one of the big four accounting firms.

The lecturers are extremely knowledgeable and approachable. They go out of their way to help students who have difficulty understanding certain topics, and are friendly and helpful. I was able to approach my lecturers without any hesitation with queries regarding my studies. Despite the sudden switch to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were able to deliver the lessons in a very articulate manner.

I would recommend Murdoch to others as I learnt so much with the University, mainly because of the lecturers. Every class conducted was interactive, very thought-provoking and did not leave you merely memorising stuff, which I felt contributed strongly to academic excellence.

As a renowned global institution, Kaplan provides intensive and comprehensive mock questions by topic.

I enrolled in the CFA Program Level I revision course to clarify my questions and get a deeper understanding of certain concepts with the help of a lecturer. The revision course was extremely helpful as the lecturers drew on key questions that test students’ core understanding of each topic.

Sufficient preparation is needed prior to attending the course. As the course is conducted with up to 100 questions per session, it is not meant as an introduction but as a good platform to assess one’s ability and understanding instead. After attending the revision course, students should be able to identify and focus on their weaker topics for subsequent revision.

With Kaplan being a well-established education partner with the CFA Institute, taking up a prep course for the CFA Program at Kaplan was an easy decision for me. Furthermore, its central location makes it easily accessible.

The prep course at Kaplan has also benefited me through networking with other professionals moving toward the same goal. We make use of the knowledge gained to enhance the quality of the financial industry through revolutionary changes.

Our lecturers are smart and witty, and I have found their classes enriching. Their fundamental knowledge of each topic is strong as they are able to provide students with valid explanations to their questions, enhancing our thought processes.

The CFA® Program offered benefits outside of my current role as a Chartering Manager at a ship operating company.

What motivated me were the insights provided into alternatives within the commodity trading and consulting fields. As I have always been interested in Finance, I took up a prep course for the CFA Program at Kaplan to grasp concepts effectively and because I had heard good reviews about its tutors.

Along with the Schweser review classes, mock tests and CFA’s QBank (Question Bank), the final month is very important for revising and doing lots of practice questions.
