The Chinese Service Center of Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), an affiliation to the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, announced on 26 July 2018 the accreditation of all Bachelor’s Degree programmes offered by Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) delivered via Kaplan in Singapore (Degrees awarded through Kaplan Higher Education Academy from July 2011 and Kaplan Higher Education Institute from March 2016).

This follows closely with the same accreditation awarded to another of Kaplan’s university partner, Murdoch University, in May 2018.

Given the increasing number of Chinese students pursuing overseas education, one of CSCSE’s primary roles is to provide the necessary professional services and support for them during their studies abroad and after they return. In its effort to offer more employment opportunities to returning graduates from foreign institutions, the CSCSE conducts extensive and thorough reviews of select transnational programmes and confers accreditations to worthy institutions. The recognition of the degrees from these accredited institutions will give Chinese graduates more options in public service, global and multi-national organisations, and the private sector.

Together, RHUL and Kaplan in Singapore are honoured to receive this accreditation. This further attests the strong partnership between the two institutions and its high quality of programmes delivered, to benefit our graduates.

Professor Bob O’ Keefe, Vice Principal and Dean of Management, Economics and Law, Royal Holloway, University of London shared, “On behalf of Royal Holloway, I am pleased to announce that the University’s Degree programmes are now accredited through the CSCSE. This accreditation will increase Chinese students’ confidence in the quality of our programmes delivered in partnership with Kaplan Singapore, and will further enhance the employability of our graduates. Royal Holloway’s partnership with Kaplan Singapore continues to go from strength to strength and is an integral part of the university’s global reputation for educational excellence.”

Associate Professor Rhys Johnson, Chief Operating Officer & Provost of Kaplan, Singapore’s most awarded private education institution, expresses: “We extend our biggest congratulations to RHUL, one of the largest colleges of University of London, and ranked 31st in the UK. We are proud to have this solid partnership with them in producing quality graduates, which has benefitted and enabled them to establish their careers in notable MNCs and global companies. This is definitely a further encouragement for us to continue being committed to offering quality programmes, to which have already benefitted more than 65,000 graduates through Kaplan since 2007.”

Currently offering programmes across 4 pathways, RHUL and Kaplan will continue to assess and introduce degree programmes that students have passion in and be industry-relevant in their career pursuit. There are plans to introduce Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programmes in entrepreneurship in the near future.
